Each commissioned painting begins as a conversation — not about decoration, but about emotional tone, atmosphere, and presence.

These works are created slowly and intuitively, resulting in original paintings that exist only once, shaped by your chosen emotional direction and the artist’s surrealist language.

Commissions are available for both surrealist animal paintings (Worlds Within) and contemporary portrait works (Becoming). Each piece is developed as a unique original painting in your preferred size, mood, and emotional direction.

Virtual consultations are available via FaceTime to discuss your vision, intended space, and overall emotional direction for the work.

Guidance can be provided on scale, palette, and composition to ensure the artwork feels appropriately considered within your interior.

1. Bringing Your Vision to Life

To begin, I’ll ask for a few key details to understand your commission direction:

Your preferred size, or approximate wall dimensions if you’re unsure (I’m happy to guide you)

3–4 reference images of my previous works that resonate with you

2–3 colours you would like to see incorporated

Optional: images of your space, fabric swatches, wallpaper, paint samples, or any visual references that help establish atmosphere

This helps shape the emotional tone, scale, and visual language of your piece.

2. Creative consultation

We will connect via Whatsapp, email or virtual meeting to discuss your vision, space, and preferences in more detail.

This stage is a collaborative exchange to clarify direction, answer questions, and ensure the commission aligns with both your space and the artistic approach of the work.

3. Deposit & Timeline

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place in the commission schedule. Projects are taken in sequence based on deposit confirmation.

Once your commission is confirmed, you will receive an estimated completion timeline based on the scope of the work. Any updates or changes to timing will be communicated transparently throughout the process.

The remaining balance (plus shipping and framing, if applicable) is due prior to final delivery.

4. Studio Process & Revisions

Throughout the creation process, I will share progress images and video updates for your review.

At completion stage, you may request up to two rounds of colour-based refinements (for example: subtle adjustments to tone or palette direction). Additional revision rounds are available at $250 per round.

This ensures the final work remains aligned while preserving the integrity of the artistic process.

5. Completion & Delivery

Once finalized, the artwork is carefully sealed and prepared for delivery.

For local collectors in Austin, hand delivery or studio pickup may be arranged. For international clients, works are shipped using secure art handling and transport services, which may require flexible scheduling depending on destination.

Each piece is packaged with care to ensure it arrives safely and ready for installation.

Commission timelines typically range from 4–8 weeks depending on complexity and size. Pricing varies based on dimensions and subject matter, with full details shared during the enquiry stage.
